Just because geeks spend their days behind computers, doesn’t mean they don’t take pride in what they wear. In fact, I think there might be a bit of an underlying competition for the title of “Best Dressed Geek” among the tech boys. I’ll be featuring a few of them on Open Wardrobe over the next few weeks. First up is Nic Harry to friends but you can call him Nicholas Haralambous.
Nicholas Haralambous, Cape Town
Geek title.
I’m the co-founder of Motribe. Motribe is a mobile Internet company helping brands build massive mobile communities.
Explain your style.
I’m going with Rebellious Business as my style. I like to dress up, but in my own way and with a touch of flamboyance.
Of the outfit you are wearing today, which is your favourite item and why?
My Happy Socks are definitely my favorite item of clothing. They help me quietly rebel and put a smile on my face every morning. Closely followed by my really, really, really brightly colored kick-ass Pumas.
Which SA geek do you think dresses well?
This one is a no-brainer, David Perel, the co-founder of Obox has an impeccable sense of style.
Where do you shop?
astore on Kloof street , Urban (Hilton Weiner), Country Road and finally I recently realized I’m a bit obsessed with Puma shoes. Any special edition Puma is on my radar.
Which look will you never wear?
Hipster.
What is your power song?
Whom do you belong to?
The woman who manages to put up with me day after day is Jennifer Wynne
How can we find you?
