When I wrote my previous post I said I was changing from Dermalogica over to QMS I had no idea just how remarkable these products were. To give you a little insight into my skin type, I must admit I have thee most sensitive skin EVER.
When I as much as touch my skin with a product that it doesn’t like, it reacts instantly and honestly that is how I came to use Dermalogica in the first place. Because as a teenager I started using my mother’s skincare products after trying everything on the market with negative results and we quickly saw that using Dermalogica didn’t give me a reaction and I will always be thankful for that, but after using it for many many years I wanted something that could offer my skin more. I am now 28 and honestly my skin is in a rather good condition but I am now looking for a skincare range that can prevent rather than having to cure later on.
I tried QMS after being introduced to it by Gloria at Mario’s Hair Company and after using only a sample for a week I could already see an instant improvement in my skin. For the first time ever I looked like I had permanent Photoshop skin. Thereafter I went to see Anel at the Future This studio in Woodstock for my first QMS facial and started using more of the range. Anel is the sales and trainee manager for QMS and I was overwhelmed at how well she knows the products and what they do for your skin. There is not a thing she could not answer.
It’s been a few weeks now since I started using the cleanser, the collagen set and the moisturizer and I can honestly say I couldn’t be happier with the results. I was lucky enough to ask Renata Klass, the Managing Director of QMS ( Future This ) in South Africa a few questions and here is what she had to say about this amazing range;
Tell us a little bit of history on Dr.med Erich Schulte and the formulation of the QMS products?
Dr. Schulte set up (in 1993) the Derma-Research-Laboratories- Dr. med. Erich Schulte to research processes of skin damage and formulate effective treatments. His research focused on delivery techniques as he saw this as a way of enhancing the metabolism of the ingredients. He uses hard science to continually challenges the limitations of skincare; he does not rest on past achievements.
How exactly do the products work?
Dr. Schulte went on to work in the field of aesthetic and cosmetic surgery where he continued to scientifically investigate skin regeneration. This lead him to develop a unique method to condition natural soluble collagens in a way that they can be applied topically to skin- thereby allowing skin to regenerate. Due to visible improvements in the texture and the healing of the skin when used post-operatively; Dr. Schulte introduced the products in pre-operative care and found that exceptional results could be achieved.
Bottom line is: Dr Schulte will never give away the secrets to his success – simply put: his products work, whether used singularly or in combination QMS Medicosmetics Skincare Collection and facial treatments deliver better results.

Who can use QMS?
Anyone concerned with aging can use QMS Medicosmetics. Your collagen production starts lessening from the age of 24 so that’s ideally when you should start using QMS – however we have early teens using our deep cleansing and our med dermabrasive gel. It all depends on you and your goals for your skin.
How can readers make the transition from what they are currently using to QMS?
QMS works with other products. However, we find it best that readers start with our Deep Cleansing and our Classic Set our or Med Set (depending on skin type) and they can use their moisturiser and eye creams until they run out, by then they should be so in love with QMS that they continue purchasing from our skincare system. It is preferable!
In your professional experience how does this product differ?
QMS works – I personally have been around the block with products from Matis to Lancome to La Prairie to La Mer, Lamelle you name it and once I started using QMS I honestly have not put another product on my skin. It is something that won’t happen. So I have tried the so- called “best products on the market” and can say with all honesty that QMS is the one that works.

I am currently using the Deep Cleansing, The Classic set ( Day and Night collagen and Exfoliant fluid ) and the 24hr Moisture balance cream and after seeing the results I want to include the cellular marine cream ( Stem cell line eraser ) and the sport active cream to my QMS product family. Most certainly happy I made the change and I don’t see me changing to anything else, any time soon.
